UltraDefrag speeds improve the machine by defragmentation of files. When contents consist of many little fragments scattered around the disk the computer needs finer mechanical work to read them. Because of that the disk access becomes slower. UltraDefrag reduces no data dismantling, thus it makes disk operations faster. UltraDefrag fails to be used on DOS, Windows 9x, Glasses NT 3.51, ReactOS and Mac HARDWARE SOFTWARE since these operating processes distribute no defragmentation API. However, Linux port connected to UltraDefrag exists. It is based on NTFS-3G capabilities.
